Katrina Evans-Oates, owner of Evans Quality Provider Care Services

Hi, I’m Katrina Evans-Oates.

I built this practice around one belief: support should make life bigger, not smaller. Tell me what you need and we’ll build a routine that fits.

About & care philosophy

Independence first, always.

Evans Quality Provider Care Services is led by Katrina Evans-Oates, who works one-on-one with adults and young people with disabilities across northeast Florida.

Katrina started this practice because she kept seeing the same gap: people were being taken care of when what they really wanted was help learning to take care of themselves. There’s a difference between doing a task for someone and standing beside them while they do it — and that difference is where confidence comes from.

So the work here looks less like a checklist and more like coaching. Sorting the mail together this week so it can be done alone next month. Practising the bus route before the first solo trip. Cooking the same three meals until they’re second nature. Progress is measured by what the person can do without her, not by how many hours she was there.

Katrina also brings first aid & CPR training and notary services under the same roof, because families supporting a loved one shouldn’t have to chase three different providers for three related needs.

  • Dignity in every taskSupport is offered the way the person wants it, at the pace they set.
  • Consistency people can plan aroundThe same familiar face, a schedule agreed in advance, clear communication when things change.
  • Families are part of the teamParents, guardians and support coordinators stay in the loop, not on the outside.
  • Goals, not just hoursEvery support plan names something the person is working toward, and we revisit it together.

“My job isn’t to run someone’s life. It’s to help them get so good at running it that they need me less.”

What we offer

Four services, one point of contact.

Choose the pieces you need. Many families combine daily living support with transportation, then add CPR training or notary work as it comes up.

Getting started

Simple from the first call.

No long intake maze. We talk, we plan together, then we begin — and we adjust as life changes.

1

Tell us what's needed

Call or send a message describing the situation — who needs support, what's hardest right now, and where in northeast Florida you're located. No pressure, no obligation.

2

Meet and plan together

Katrina meets the person and the family, listens to the goals that matter to them, and puts together a support plan and schedule everyone agrees on.

3

Start, review, grow

Support begins, and we keep checking in. As skills build, hours and goals get reshaped — because the aim is always more independence, not more hours.

Good questions

Things families ask first.

Who do you support?

Adults and young people with disabilities who want help building or maintaining the skills for independent daily life — and the families and support coordinators around them. If you're unsure whether we're the right fit, call and describe the situation; we'll tell you honestly.

What does “daily living skills support” actually look like?

Usually a regular visit where we work through real tasks together in the person's own home or community — making a meal, doing laundry, sorting mail, planning a shopping trip, practising a bus route. The emphasis is on doing it with the person rather than for them, so the skill sticks.

Can you combine transportation with a support visit?

Yes — that's one of the most common arrangements. A ride to a medical appointment or the grocery store often doubles as skills practice: reading the calendar, checking in at the desk, working through a shopping list. Mention what you're hoping to combine and we'll build the schedule around it.

Who is the first aid & CPR training for?

Family caregivers, direct support professionals, group home and day program staff, babysitters, church volunteers — anyone who wants to feel steady in an emergency. Sessions can be one-to-one or small group, and we keep the language plain and the practice hands-on.

What kinds of documents can you notarise?

Everyday documents such as affidavits, sworn statements, consent and authorisation letters, travel letters and care-related forms. Bring valid photo identification and leave the document unsigned until we're together. If you're not sure your paperwork qualifies, call and describe it before you make the trip.

How much do your services cost?

It depends on the service, the location and how often support is needed, so we quote after we've talked. Get in touch with a short description of what you're looking for and we'll walk you through the options and pricing.

How do I get started?

Call (904) 651-0614 or send the form below with a few details. Katrina will follow up to arrange a conversation, then a meeting with the person who'll be receiving support so a plan can be built together.
